Spring, Where Art Thou?

I have been working out EVERYDAY, and my inspiration is to look good in the spring and summer seasons. It sounds weird but between the months of November to December, I allow myself to gain like 15 pounds, and then I push it all off when January comes around! LOL it's weird but whatever. I would prefer to be small all year round, but that's not how my cookie crumbles.

Here are some things I'm really into for spring...

Not Another Hairstylist

I am always dreaming about my future, and what my career has in store for me. I fantasize about one day being a true professional in everything concerning hair and makeup. I want to be THAT boss lady who is in high demand, and has earned a ton of respect. I love being surrounded by people who are interested in beauty the way that I am, and I love feeding off of their energy. So when I meet people who are hairstylists, it makes me sad when they don't seem to have any passion or integrity for what they do. It literally makes me reconsider why I do hair in the first place.

I am determined to not just be another hairdresser in a dead end salon. I want to always have integrity and pride in the work that I do. Progression is going to be the theme of my career. I don't know where God is going to take me in this industry, but I am DETERMINED to not just be another hairstylist.
 That is all.

Gray Hair

Kelly Osbourne was seen with gray hair recently and I must say that I like it! I read in an article that Kelly hates her hair, but I still think that this look is cute.

I believe that you have to own this look. There is no way you can wear platinum or gray hair and act like you're on the fence about it.

Hopefully she grows to love it like I do, and rocks this look a little longer.

I know this isn't gray it's platinum, but I love the hair color so much!

Oh Kimbella!

I am a big fan of Love and Hip Hop! I must admit, when Kimbella first came on the show she wasn't my favorite. However, as the episodes rolled on Kimbella started to become one of my favorite cast members!

Her golden locks are the reason for this post.

I love how she isn't afraid to change up her look. She goes long, short, curly, and straight, and it ALL works!

Edris!!!

Sissypoo!!

Check out my sister's hair after I trimmed her ends and styled her mane...

She got the name wrong, but hey what can you do!

Hmmm.....

I've been thinking about doing something a little different with my hair, and when I saw this picture the wheels in my head started turning...

Scatter Brained

This is another scatter brained post...bear with me.

Ok so I have a photo shoot coming up that I am doing for my portfolio. Since I started cosmetology school I realized that I would love to be a MUA (makeup artist) along with being a hairstylist. I got my concealer palette from coastal scents and I love it! It shows up great in pictures and that is what I need!

I'm quickly become a huge fan of fur. I saw Kim K. in this blue fur coat a few weeks ago and I just loved it.

I need these in my life

I did this mushroom haircut on my mannequin head, and I tell you this haircut is back!

The Bigger The Hair....

This pic is waaaay too fab. The hair, the makeup...I love it all!

Standing Ovation

Even though I should've watched the Golden Globes, I unfortunately did not. However, I was excited when I saw how great Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer looked on the red carpet. They both were nominated for their roles in "The Help", and showed out!

Viola looked so good in this dress, everything about this entire look is perfection.

Octavia looked absolutely fabulous in this gown. Everything is appropriate for her age and her body. To make it even better she won a Golden Globe for best supporting actress for her role in "The Help".

Over the summer I saw this movie three times, and I never got sick of it. I think everyone in the movie should've gotten a Golden Globe, but that's just my opinion.
