Natural Wonder
Last night I attended Divine Divas at Miracle Temple SDA Church in Baltimore, MD. Sandy Johnson was one of the speakers and all I could look at was her fabulous hair!
And can you believe that she is over 60 years old? She looks like shes in her 30's. Black don't crack baby!

Teresa Clarke - Shot Caller BGR 2010!!!!
Like I said in my previous post, I love seeing positive black women making a difference. Teresa Clarke is the Internet CEO of Africa.com and is SMART!!!! I love her!! I really loved her speech, her spirit, her story, everything! It encourages me to keep going in school, and to just hold on. Seeing an educated woman who is fabulous tell me that I rock and that I can achieve anything I want helps me to do just that! Oooo I just get all tingly thinking about it. I'm so empowered!!!!! Here is the video below.
BGR 2010
Something that truly lifts my spirits is when I see young girls empowered. I wish that more black women would in the media would treat themselves with respect and portray themselves to be intelligent individuals to the world. Since there is such a lack of that, I get super duper excited when I see someone who is making a change. Keke Palmer is only 17 but she is such a great role model and a great influence on our generation. She has great speaking skills, she is age appropriate, and she has a great spirit. I really hope that she never lets that spirit go and continues to make a change. Watch her accept her Black Girls Rock award below.

Hair Update!
I know I said I would wear my natural hair out for 4 weeks but I was overcome with the high maintenance my hair requires so I put in some hair. I currently have Saga Gold and Dreamweaver in my hair. In the morning I wet, diffuse, and I'm out the door! This hair is great because it has volume without it being crazy and out of control. I need this because I'm constantly working out and studying and working. I don't have time for twistouts and blowouts or even a puff! OK I'm lying about the puff part but I need something that will pretty much take care of itself.
PYT of the Week;)
I know I know, I am a total slacker when it comes to updating my PYT of the Week. However this week I just could not hold back. Mr. Kevin McCall is in the song Deuces with Chris Brown and Tyga. I know everyone probably already knows this dude, but I found this video of him and dude can sing his behind off too! Here is a video of him sharing his talents.

New Found Growth
Happy Sunday!! I just recently washed my hair and I am very pleased with my growth over the past few weeks. I personally feel that the key to hair growth is getting scheduled trims, and leaving it ALONE. My hair has significantly grown from me not bothering it with heat, and trimming it in between weaves, and protein treatments. Here is my progress from August 25, 2010 to October 10, 2010. In both pics my hair is blow dried.
Before:
After:
I don't usually blow dry my hair unless I'm going to trim it.
Here is is my hair in a puff from May 22,2010.
In the picture below, you can see that there is a difference in height which means growth!!! Yay me!!! This picture is from today October 10,2010.

ICING Chip Resistant Diamond Shield Review
Hello Everyone, since fall is here I wanted to go back to dark nail colors like black, browns, and purples. I have been searching for a chip resistant so I decided to test out ICING Chip Resistant Diamond Shield. This can be purchased at any ICING store usually located in the mall. After using the product for 5 days, here is what I think:
PROS:
PROS:
- Makes your nails hard, so they will not chip and therefore grow.
- Keeps the majority of the color on your nail for an extended amount of time.
- Starts to chip around the tip of the nail first.
- Takes a long time to dry.
Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 I give this chip resistant a B- |

Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue Review
Hello Everyone, I recently bought the 2oz jar of Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue to see if I liked it. I had a bit of pros and cons for this product so I'll just go ahead and list them below.
PROS:
In conclusion I will never use this product again on my weave. I think that it was nice to my real hair, but it leaves a build up so you would need to wash your hair every time you use it. It was completely dry and brittle when I did a dry twist out on my weave. It was so bad I really didn't want to put the picture up.I saw that some people said that when you apply a generous amount it gets hard, but since I used less then half of my 2 oz I clearly didn't use a lot. I wonder if it would've been different if I did a wet twist out? I had to sing in church that day so I just twisted it back into a low bun. All in all I think for me and my hair, we will use Cantu products or Eco Styler olive oil whenever we want to do a dry twist out again!
I will try other products from this line to see what works for me. I gotta find out what the hype is all about!
PROS:
- It moisturized my real hair and maintained a nice curl all day.
- It has a really nice pineapple smell
- It leaves a lot of build up in your hair and will leave a visible residue in my hair and the weave.
- Made my weave very hard, brittle and dry.

SCARVES: Fashion Favorite
I have been trying to successfully tie a scarf on my head but could never get it looking right. Finally Moptop Maven showed me how to do it. I posted a picture of my success on twitter about 2 weeks ago. I also spotted June Ambrose wearing decorative head scarves during NYFW. I love how everyone is getting into these scarves now, and June Ambrose fabulously executed the look. Here are a few of my favorite head scarf looks.
And me!!!
