I Finished Cosmetology School!

Last week Wednesday I officially finished cosmetology school. I have been waiting for this moment since I was in high school, and when it came I didn't have the reaction I planned. My journey to finish school was so difficult for me that when I finished I felt anxious and tired. I don't want the stress and disappointment I felt during school to be the tone that sets off my career. I was so mentally focused on getting through the struggle, I had to change my entire mentality if I wished to continue doing hair once I graduated.

I am God's child so I'll never be defeated. I am thankful to my friends and family that have supported me throughout the years. The encouragement I received was part of the reason I was able to finish what I started. I love making people beautiful, and that's not something anyone can take away from me. I pray that once I become a famous hairstylist, my story will encourage and empower others to never give up on the dreams that God gives you. I can hear God telling me the struggle is over, and that my career will quickly take off in the direction I want it to. I praise the Lord for my journey because it taught me how to trust in the Lord. I am walking into my future. The divisive and prejudice treatment I received while attending Paul Mitchell is not going to hold me down or make me stop. Being able to service any client regardless of race or hair texture is what makes me a real hairstylist. I have the Lord on my side so who could stop me?!
