Something that truly lifts my spirits is when I see young girls empowered. I wish that more black women would in the media would treat themselves with respect and portray themselves to be intelligent individuals to the world. Since there is such a lack of that, I get super duper excited when I see someone who is making a change. Keke Palmer is only 17 but she is such a great role model and a great influence on our generation. She has great speaking skills, she is age appropriate, and she has a great spirit. I really hope that she never lets that spirit go and continues to make a change. Watch her accept her Black Girls Rock award below.
