SCARVES: Fashion Favorite

I have been trying to successfully tie a scarf on my head but could never get it looking right. Finally Moptop Maven showed me how to do it. I posted a picture of my success on twitter about 2 weeks ago. I also spotted June Ambrose wearing decorative head scarves during NYFW. I love how everyone is getting into these scarves now, and June Ambrose fabulously executed the look. Here are a few of my favorite head scarf looks.

Hello here is another video about some of the beauty products I've been using lately. I give my honest review on all of them, so hopefully it helps you out. Finally!!!!! Jazmine Sullivan: Holding you Down

I love Jazmine Sullivan and since her last album I have been youtubing practically all of her performences to get my Jazmine fix! Her new single Holding you Down is Ahhhmazing, and her video is so cute. I love how she looks like someone I would hang out with, I just love this girl. Here is the video below.
BTW her lightning bolt earrings are so cute, almost makes me wanna pierce my ears.

Solange in Pictures

Good Evening everyone! For awhile I have admired Solange Knowles style. Ever since she shaved her head, she just blossomed. For Solange I feel the weaves were a distraction from her style. Now her face pops, her clothes pop and she glows. Here are a few of my favorites of her pre and post Big Chop.

Beautiful Hair!!!

Good Afternoon everyone! I hope everyone is having a beautiful day:) Along with my Beauty Bits segement, I decided to start taking pictures of the hairstyles and looks I acheive and create somewhat of a lookbook for you all. Romeka is pictured below and is a good friend of mine who has never had a relaxer and loves to wear her hair natural. She decided to give her hair a rest and get a weave. Here are some pictures of her before middle and after stages.

 The tools that are needed to upkeep this look are a paddle brush (like the one I mentioned in Beauty Bits from Forever 21), and Motions Sheen Spray. I usually never reccomend putting products in weaves because it makes the hair look dirty and smells after a while. However Motions Sheen Spray is very weightless, and creates instant shine without weighing the hair down. Less is more when considering how much product to put in your weave. I apologize for the clarity of the pictures, but you will still get the gist. Below is a video from Romeka giving her review on her new fabulous do!

                                          

Walk With the Family. Location: South Germantown

Yesterday my father, my older sister, and myself took a Sabbath stroll through South Germantown. The weather was perfect and so was the afternoon. I took some pictures, but of course my phone couldn't pick up all the beauty.

Wet Twist Out with Eco Styler- Olive Oil

I am doing my twist out this time with new Eco-Styler with Olive Oil. This product is very nice and it gives a strong hold with a soft feel. I am going to be using this product in the future and highly recommend it. I rubbed Kera Care Glossifier on my fingertips as I was twisting and taking the twists out. This was to promote shine.

Place Silk Bonnet on to sleep. Sitting under a hooded dryer for an hour is also an option if you want to go out the same day.

I wore this hairstyle for about 3 days. At night I tucked my hair inside my silk bonnet and fluffed it out in the morning.

ORLY "Won't Chip" and Sally Hansen French Manicure Review

I recently did a review on ORLY Won't Chip nail polish. I have to say that it did not work. The label says that it has a protective polymer shield that allows your polish to stay on for at least 14 days. I have to say that my color lasted for about 3 days. According to ORLY, applying BONDER polish as a base coat allows to polish to last longer. Maybe I will use the BONDER and see how well that goes. I also tried Sally Hansen French Manicure to match with the french pedicure I got on my toes the other day. I really love this product. It has a very skinny brush that makes it super easy to apply. Hello everyone, I decided to start sharing my own personal beauty secrets with you all through a segment I like to call "Beauty Bits". In this video I featured a few cheap products that I like to use which are, African Shea Butter, Witch Hazel, HIP eyeshadow in Brazen, Forever 21 paddle brush, Elf Hypershine Lip Gloss, Maybelline Super Stay Foundation, and Garnier Fructis Volumizing Anti Humidity Hairspray. In the video you will see me sharing/using tips that I've found in Essence Magazine, tips that I figured out on my own, and tips passed down. The video doesn't show the label for the African Shea Butter or the Witch Hazel so I posted a clearer pic below. I don't usually buy expensive makeup or beauty fixes mainly because I'm broke, but also because I'm not big on spending a lot of money on things that I know I can get for less. Here are the prices of everything featured in the video and pictures of the look I achieved. Enjoy:)

BTW: Putting the lipgloss over the lipstick creates a barrier so the lipstick won't rub off on your teeth. Doesn't have to be thick coat of lipgloss either.
