The Hair: Tadashi Shoji NYFW

I really love the hair from Tadashi Shoji's fashion show last week at NYFW. Instead of the usual chignon or ponytail, they went for a roll which was refreshing and fun.

The exaggerated side part with wispy pieces all over help keep things elegant and dramatic, but effortless at the same time.

Studded Collars

I recently saw a YouTuber give a tutorial on how to make decorative collars out of men's shirts. I love the idea so I decided to make a few for an upcoming photo shoot.

First, I cut the collars out from the men's shirts. I got them all at Salvation Army for under $5 each.

I used fabric glue to hold everything together and beads and studs from necklaces and old belts.

I really loved the way the the chain looked by itself but I needed to add a little more for the shoot.

My Curls

I love to create an afro of curls with my curling wand, and today I took my time and did a thorough curling of my hair.

Before styling I always wet it in the shower and let my hair air dry. It's important not to touch your hair while it is drying, not doing so could result in a frizzy curl pattern. When dry, your hair will have better volume, and allows the curl to hold better than if flat ironed or blow dried.

I use this wand from Remington. I bought it at Target for about $30.00

I don't curl the whole strand of hair. I mostly curl the hair from the middle of the strand to ends, leaving the root with it's natural curl pattern.

I really loved the curls that I got from the wand today! I wish I could make this last a few days, but I sleep way to hard!

Blue & Cut

I love Katy Perry's new haircut and color. Even though her hair is blue, everything about her look says chic.

I am really loving this haircut below, and I would LOVE to do it on someone. So far there has been no takers! Oh well, maybe when Spring comes people will be into it.

Spring, Where Art Thou?

I have been working out EVERYDAY, and my inspiration is to look good in the spring and summer seasons. It sounds weird but between the months of November to December, I allow myself to gain like 15 pounds, and then I push it all off when January comes around! LOL it's weird but whatever. I would prefer to be small all year round, but that's not how my cookie crumbles.
